Still my baby wrapped around my arms ❤
The next day after receiving the Lego toy gift, Raymond eagerly put the legos together
Me: Ok, let’s put it on top of your cabinet for display.
Raymond: Mom, toys supposed to be to play with not just for display. Pleaaasssseee
Me: That is Leo’s gift for you and you should take care of it ok.
Raymond: Ok
Last July 26 – Saturday: Raymond excited to visit Leo, Ava and Miles for the first time!

Raymond’s first flight straight from Manila → Los Angeles last July 17, 2014 9:30AM (Manila) to 8:30AM (LA)
At the van going to the airport with my twin sissy Jenny and Raymond
Raymond got the window seat! 🙂
Seriously reading the instructions…
Got bored on the plane, no TV except for the headset. Raymond rockin’ the Oreo that Tita Jenny gave her.
Raymod: Thanks Tita Jenny! 🙂
It was really such a long flight. After sleeping from time to time I don’t see Raymond beside me.
Ooops! There he is!
Good morning America! We’re about to land! 🙂
Some perks into being jet lagged… like watching this sunrise
Hello there Los Angeles! 🙂
Note to myself: Update photo on LAX Airport
Back in Philippines May 2014 while we are constructing our carport. Raymond love to watch farmers harvesting their rice field.
Raymond: What is that Mote?
Me: That is a rice field. They are harvesting it now.
Raymond: What is a rice field?
Me: That is where the rice came from.
Raymond: Woooohhw! (amazed)
…And this is what it looks like outside! Yes, a rice field in the middle of the village.
During school days Raymond would always ask —
“How many days to go before the weekend?”,
“How many days do we have time off?”,
“Are we both having the same number of days off?”
And if I answer him in favor of his days off – he will look forward to it with joy. During weekends – this is our time of being just me and him on our house together and if we have some extra time: we watch movie, shop together, play together.. And then on Sunday afternoon, I will bring him back to my parent’s house for them to take care of him and send him to school while I’m at work. Kinda very tiring routine for us, though it’s challenging.
Graduation is over for the preschoolers and this season where schools are in summer vacation here in PI. Raymond asked me again –
“Mote how many days do I have time off?”
I responded without being sure how many days really his time off, I just told him “I cannot count big boy, this is your summer vacation so you don’t need to worry on doing the home works and going to school for the mean time”. And his face starting to look very puzzled.
“But what about you?” Why you’re always going to work?” Do you have also vacation season like us?”
I tried to explain to him as simple as I could – “Sweetie because I’m no longer a student, School and office is totally different.” And his face start to dim –
“Oh why is it like that? Can you just work at my school so we have same busy days and vacation time?”
Sweet little Raymond, I was so touched by his kind words, I responded him “Do you want me to be a teacher on the same school you are going to?” Raymond says –
“Yes…”
With a big smile on my face. I guess its time for a career shift. Just wondering.
Today is the birthday of a man whom Raymond dearly called – Dada!
He is silent but he doesn’t forget to entertain Raymond with his kiddie stories, games, cartoon stories and personalities, etc. Seems like they getting along really well.

Half the world is sleeping
Half the world’s awake
Half can hear their heart beat
Half just hear them break
I am but a traveler
Been most everywhere
Ask me what you want to know.
[Chorus:]
What a journey it has been
And the end is not in sight
But the stars are out tonight
And they’re bound to guide my way
When they’re shining on my life
I can see a better day
I won’t let the darkness in
What a journey it has been.
I have been to sorrow
I have been to bliss
Where I’ll be tomorrow
I can only guess
Through the darkest desert
Through the deepest snow
Forward, always forward I go.
Forward, always forward
Onward, always up
Catching every drop of hope
In my empty cup.
Been…
What a journey it has been.
It’s Raymond’s preschool graduation! I cannot explain how I feel, walking on the aisle with graduation march song – I feel a bit nervous! We arrived early and able to take a picture before the ceremony begins.

I felt a bit relieved, I can’t imagine. It’s like just yesterday when I was carrying him in my arms giggling and screaming, he had very limited vocabulary back then, playful kid and then slowly showing interest in going to school, thinking: Is he really ready for preschool? What preschool will he go to? Will he able to learn read and write faster? Wow, and he made it! We made it! Thanks to my Mom who always take care of him while I’m working. Time flies so fast and now he’s really a Baby no more! Toddler no more! Instead a BIG BOY graduating in Preschool!
I am sooo happy at the same time teary eyed to see my son together with these little munchkins up on stage! They all look great on their graduation gown. I know this is just the beginning of their elementary school journey. And I’m sure and confident my big boy can handle it!

Proud Mom – went up to stage two times! 🙂 Happy graduation son! Always remember Mommy loves you! ❤

Thanks to my family for being there for us in this special occasion. Love you guys! ❤

Seems like Raymond doesn’t want to take picture anymore huh!
